Final Exams Week - May 10-14

Final Exams (also known as Interims) will be given building-wide next week. These assessments are created by teachers and will be completed in one class period, so we will follow our normal schedule throughout the week. See below for which test will be given on each day:

Monday 5/10: ELA
Tuesday 5/11: Math
Wednesday 5/12: Science & 1st Connections
Thursday 5/13: 2nd Connections
Friday 5/14: Social Studies

Credit Recovery

All students still have the opportunity to turn in missing assignments from every quarter throughout this entire school year! If a student is not passing a class for the year at this point, families can contact their child's teacher(s) to learn more about credit recovery opportunities.

As only students who are passing all of their core classes for the year (an overall grade of 70 or above) will be invited to participate in the Promotion Ceremony, please be sure to check Infinite Campus to ensure that your child is in good academic standing!

There will also be a special event held during the last week of school for students with all A's this year...👀🤫

Summer School Enrichment and Support

This year Summer School Enrichment and Support will be offered from June 2nd through June 30th from 9 to 3 for students, Monday through Thursday each of these weeks. Breakfast and Lunch, and transportation, will be provided for all students that participate in the program. Students who have received a notice from the school are required to attend for academic support, while other students can still attend. The support sessions will be built into the day, without any extra classes being required for students. Please click on the link below to view the flyer for this event. Important Upcoming Dates

Please be aware of the following upcoming dates and events. Note that this list will continue to be added to each week as more events are planned and scheduled, and also that some of these dates are subject to change:

4/26-5/14: Credit Recovery (for all quarters - hosted by teachers)
5/10-5/14: Final Exams (taken in class)
5/12: Laptop collection begins for in-person 8th graders
5/17: Last day to submit Credit Recovery work
5/19: 8th Grade Moving On Ceremony
5/20: Last Day of School

Check your email. Hilsman will use Campus Messenger to email parents/guardians all school-wide announcements. Follow these directions to sign up:

*Reminder for parents: Please make sure the instruments are being taken care of at home. I have had several broken and damaged instruments returned to the school for repair over the past week. Instruments should NEVER be kept in a car or outside. They should be left zipped up in the case when your student is not practicing or playing. Thank you!*
