General News:

Credit Recovery:
Credit Recovery is an after-school program designed to help student who failed or more classes from Quarter 2. Students who attend Credit Recovery and complete the work may have their failing grade(s) changed to passing ones in order to avoid summer school or the risk of being retained. Credit Recovery meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (and some Thursdays!). The program will begin January 21 and run through March.

Tuesday we will be finding surface area.

Wednesday quiz on surface area.

Thursday and Friday we will be finding volume of objects.

ELA News:

ELA will be finishing up with our poetry unit and starting our Black History Projects as we move into our next unit of study - Literary Nonfiction.

Science News:

Science will be reviewing for the Unit 3 Exam on Friday.

Social Studies News:

Environmental Super Hero Projects due 1/21

Unit 4 Test Wednesday 1/22

Thursday and Friday will be spent introducing Unit 5.

Band and Orchestra News:

The Band and Orchestra Rock-a-Thon will take place Friday, January 31 from 6:00pm-12:00pm. Please ask your student for the information packet!

Art News:

6th Graders will be completing multiple projects that utilize the use of a color wheel! They will be creating their own color wheel, and they will be learning about primary and secondary colors and why they are fundamental building blocks of art. They will also play color bingo at the end of the week!
