Hilsman 6th Graders are participating in JA BizTown programming, part of an exciting college and career readiness partnership between Gwinnett County Schools and Junior Achievement of Georgia. This program teaches about the foundational economic concepts essential to citizenship and the professional skills needed for entry into diverse professional settings. The next step of the programming takes place at Junior Achievement’s Discovery Center at Gwinnett. It is an experiential learning lab where the students will receive hands on, real-world interactions with business management, personal finance and life skills.

Our visit is scheduled for  Monday and Tuesday, December 16 and 17. We will leave school at 8:45am and return at 2:00pm.

Please ensure your student is in uniform for the trip!

Monday 12/16- College and/or Career T-Shirt Day
Students and staff are encouraged to wear a college or career t-shirt and uniform bottoms. Please make sure that college or career is visible on shirt, as solid colors are not permitted. If you do not wish to participate, please be in regular school uniform.

Last Week Before Winter Break!
We are only five days away from the end of Quarter 2, and we know that this is a busy time of the year for families. It is our sincere hope that all of our students are passing all of their classes and performing to their full academic potential, so we encourage everyone to be checking parent portal frequently and using this final week as an opportunity to be checking in with teachers and completing any missing assignments.
