CCSD Reopening Updates
CCSD will reopen for in-person learning on a phased-in schedule, beginning February 15, 2021. Virtual learning will continue to be offered for all students. Based on this schedule, Hilsman will be reopening for face-to-face learning on March 22nd.
Parents/Guardians can still change the instructional model for their student (in-person or virtual).
Buildings will be closed on Wednesdays for deep-cleaning and to allow time for contact tracing.
Schools will communicate with parents/guardians regarding specific instructional updates for their building.
Click to view the meeting video and presentation from the BOE Work Session (2/5/21).
Reopening resources: CCSD - Reopening Guidebook and CCSD - School Reopening Infographic.
Student Instruction Model
Parents/Guardians have the option to change the selection previously made for their student’s instructional model.
If you want to keep your initial preference, you do not need to do anything.
If you want to change the instruction model, log in to your Infinite Campus account beginning on Monday, February 8th, to modify it. Note: Your initial choice will be shown.
Changes should have been made by Friday, February 12th. If not, please make these as soon as possible (teachers will be confirming this with you during Parent/Teacher Conferences this week.)

Students participating in Credit Recovery can meet on Zoom with teachers after school to work on assignments and bring up their former grades. If you have any questions or concerns about your child participating in Credit Recovery, please contact your child's teachers. In order to remain in the program, students must finish 50% of their assignments for Credit Recovery by February 19th, 2021.
Teachers will be posting grades this week for Progress Reports for Quarter 3. These provide the 4.5 week notice of how your child is progressing in their classes for this quarter. If you have questions or concerns about your child's grades, please reach out to your child's teacher(s) - a full 8th grade faculty contact list is provided at the bottom of this blog.
