6th Grade News January 14 - 18, 2019

General News
Monday, January 14 - College/Career Shirt Day
Students and teachers are encouraged to wear a college or career t-shirt and uniform bottoms. Please make sure the college or career is visible on the shirt as solid colors are not permitted. If you do not wish to participate, please be in regular uniform.

Tissue Donation
It is that time of year--Cold and Flu Season! If you would like to make donations of tissue, hand sanitizer, and clorox wipes to your student's homeroom, it would be so appreciated! We want to make sure that our students are staying healthy and not spreading germs!

Report Cards
Report cards were sent home Thursday, January 10. If you have questions or concerns about your child's grades or academic standing, please contact their teacher(s). A full contact list for the 6th grade faculty is listed at the bottom of the blog.

Chorus after School!
Attention all current chorus students and other interested students, come and join chorus during 21st Century! Chorus will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 4pm - 6pm. Come and learn basic music skills, choreography and participate in vocal performances. Genres will vary from Hip-hop, R&B, Rap, and Gospel.

Scoliosis Letters
On Friday, January 11th, students were sent home with Scoliosis letters. The letter only needs to be signed and returned if you DO NOT want your child screened at school. For the screening, the neck and shoulders of your student need to be visible for the most accurate screening. Boys may wear a tank top if desired. Girls must wear a bra/sports bra/one piece bathing suit or tank top. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email our nurse, Caroline Chambers (chambersc@clarke.k12.ga.us).
